Melissa Peterson, CLC
A sixth-generation Florida native, Melissa Peterson has built a distinguished career in the real estate and title insurance industry. She began at age 17 as a receptionist for a small title company and steadily advanced through every level of the business, gaining hands-on experience that laid the foundation for her success as a Closing Agent.
Since becoming a Notary Public and Closing Agent in 1994, Melissa has continued to elevate her professional expertise. She earned the distinguished Certified Land Closer (CLC) designation from the Florida Land Title Association (FLTA) in 2005 and became a Licensed Title Agent for the State of Florida in 2006. During the 2007 shift in Florida’s real estate market, she expanded her knowledge by serving for more than two years as a Civil Trial Clerk for Lee and Glades counties, supporting Judges within the 20th Judicial Circuit. She later contributed to the FLTA’s CLC/CLS committee, helping to update testing standards for future applicants. In 2022, she further strengthened her credentials by obtaining her Florida paralegal certification.
With more than 30 years of experience and thousands of transactions, Melissa brings deep industry knowledge and genuine commitment to every transaction. She prides herself on providing personalized, attentive service—treating each closing with the same care and diligence she would give her own. For Melissa, this work is more than a profession; it’s a passion.
